Prof. HAMADA Hiromichi
Our department is one of the leading medical centers for child health and development in Japan. We provide high-quality health care for all kinds of severe, emergent or chronic diseases in childhood.
We collaborate with families, other healthcare professionals and satellite hospitals to cure and care for sick children. We are also dedicated to fostering community, both within the hospital and in the neighborhoods around us. In addition, we are promoting basic and/or clinical research as our mission as an academic medical center, as well as education for medical students and residents.

- Immunological disorders (autoimmune diseases, primary immunodeficiency, Kawasaki disease)
- Neurological disorders (Gorlin syndrome, encephalopathy, epilepsy, mitochondria disease)
- Infectious diseases (CNS, respiratory tract, urinary tract, swallowing disorder, vaccinations)
- Hematological disorders (anemia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia)
- Pediatric cancer (leukemia, malignant/ benign solid tumors)
- Cardioveascular diseases (congenital heart disease, arrhythmia, pulmonary hypertension)
- Neonatal disorders (premature birth, low birth weight)
- Endocrine disorders (short stature, hypothyroidism, diabetes)
