The Neurosurgery faculty includes nine academic clinicians, each with a highly developed clinical subspecialization and focused research activities. We provide cutting-edge technologies for complex conditions in the following areas: sellar and parasellar lesions, endoscopic endonasal and microscopic skull base surgery, neuroendoscopic surgery, malignant brain tumors, endovascular surgery, spinal disorders, and functional disorders (deep brain stimulation and spinal cord stimulation). Chiba Neurosurgery facilities include: Neurosurgical operating rooms equipped for image-guided stereotaxis, neuro-endoscopy, neurophysiological brain monitoring, and intraoperative angiography; and a neuroendovascular suite equipped with a digital X-ray system and a flat panel detector, IVUS, and an endovascular endosope. We also offer an excellent training program in neurosurgery for neurosurgical residents in cooperation with hospitals and medical centers in Chiba. The cadaver hands-on seminar is held as surgical training for residents and neurosurgeons from all over the nation.
